I called in to the shop with the Turbo X to get some specific details on the car and what was wrong.
First, the original owner got in a front end accident, mostly cosmetic according to the guy I bought the car from. Well the shop found that the radiator and intercooler were mounted improperly. Due to incorrect mounting, the ducts leading to the intercooler did not line up causing it to leak badly. Boost pressure was down and the mass air flow sensor was choking back throttle to keep it from running lean.
The shop took out the radiator, condenser, and intercooler to check for any damage caused by the shoddy repairs. The radiator was fine, as was the condenser. The intercooler however was damaged badly. They ordered a new one but whoever sent in the order filled out the vehicle info wrong (I'm guessing he put 9-3 Aero or 2.0t instead of Turbo X, The TX has a much larger intercooler to keep up with the added boost). Unfortunately due to weather, the part may not arrive until Friday or even next Monday.
Additionally, because the leak with the intercooler was so bad they were unable to check the rest of the system for leaks. This means that when they do get the part and eventually install it, they then have to test it and make sure no other parts were damaged. If any other ducting or something is damaged that could add on a day or two.
At this point I'm having withdrawals....and they aren't getting better.....

(btw, you think you are going through withdraws? I dont have a car in university. so make that 3 to 4 month at a time i dont have a car full stop. then i get a week back home and i drive like 1000km in a week,

And It will be at full boost. The intercooler was leaking so bad it was at like 10 PSI when normally it pushes 16-18.

It was terrifying when it wasn't at full honk. I think I might need to ease into it......or you know, just do a full throttle launch the first time I drive it. Because sensible.
